Fani Willis hearing cancelled by Georgia Appeals Court

David Hucks

The upcoming hearing concerning Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her potential involvement in the election interference indictment involving President-elect Donald Trump and some of his GOP allies has been canceled by the Georgia Court of Appeals.

The scheduled hearing, originally intended as an oral argument, was slated for December 5th. The Georgia Court of Appeals was prepared to deliberate on the matter of whether Willis should be removed from the case.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was involved in a romantic relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, which further complicated the already problematic criminal pursuit.

In March 2024, Wade officially withdrew from the Georgia election interference case against Donald Trump, as a judge’s ruling required one of them to step aside for the case to proceed.

Moving forward, it seems that the flawed case is practically dead despite Wade’s withdrawal.

On the heels of her own reelection, Fani Willis told Atlanta media that she planned to push ahead on the charges against Trump and his co-defendants.

Despite her incompetence and lack of character in managing her professional responsibilities, Fani Willis managed to secure her reelection.

The Georgia Constitution mandates that the appeals court must issue a decision on a docketed case before the conclusion of the subsequent term.

The court has scheduled the election interference case for the August term, meaning that a decision on removing Willis must be made by March 31, 2025.

The ruling on March 31, 2025 is a matter of formality and makes it abundantly clear that this case is now devoid of any chance of success.

It serves as just one of the numerous legal battles the government pursued. President-elect Trump can now rest assured that it is no longer a concern for him.
